Christmas time is not only the season for giving, but also a time to be thankful for all that we have received throughout the year and, for Tilda Technologies, supporting the Rainbow Cottage at St Francis Care Centre in Boksburg is one way to demonstrate this. 'We are so pleased to be able to offer this donation to the centre, because giving back to our local community is important,' said software development manager at Tildatech, Pleasure Skosana. 'To launch this initiative, we would like to appeal to locals to join in the Rainbow Cottage challenge by daring their siblings, friends, colleagues and companies to equal or better their donation.'

Registered as a 'Children's Home' Rainbow Cottage provides sanctuary for 30 abandoned and orphaned children from birth to 7 years of age. This sanctuary provides their everyday requirements, from nappies and food to medication, all while offering physical care, developmental supervision as well as emotional and spiritual support.

Cynthia Dicks, in charge of fundraising development at St Francis Care Centre acknowledged, 'The generosity of local businesses and the community at large at this time of year provides a much needed boost to our dwindling funds, bringing sustenance and great comfort to our little ones.'

'And sometimes,' added Tilly Brouwer, the centre manager for St Francis Care Centre, 'our sponsors are unaware of their impact; they don't realize that they are giving our children a future.'
